New Brunswick, a town in central New Jersey, offers area residents and outdoor enthusiasts a variety of attractions. Johnson Park has miles of walking trails, picnicking grounds and recreational fields, and Six Mile Run is the ideal spot for hikers, walkers and joggers. In addition, New Brunswick is a common stop for a variety of busing companies, making travel in and out of New Brunswick easy and affordable.

New Brunswick to Atlantic City

Area residents of New Brunswick can travel to Atlantic City, New Jersey, on a Coach USA bus. Atlantic City, a gambling mecca, also features the Absecon Light House, Illinois Avenue Park and AC Picnic Grounds. This trip takes about 2-1/2 hours. A morning bus leaves from Penn Plaza daily and arrives at four stops in Atlantic City. In addition, lunchtime bus leaves Penn Plaza on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and an early evening bus leaves on Fridays and Saturdays. These buses make stops at the Taj Mahal, Bally's Park Place, Showboat and the Hilton.

New Brunswick to Somerset

Another option for residents of New Brunswick is a bus trip to Somerset, New Jersey. Somerset is in northcentral New Jersey, and features a variety of outdoor attractions. Spooky Brook Pond is the ideal spot for fishing, and boaters can enjoy the nearby Lower bay. Buses are offered from New Brunswick to Somerset daily and include several departure times. Bus stops in Somerset include the intersections of JFK Boulevard and Hamilton Street and JFK Boulevard and Winston Street.

New Brunswick to New York City

A final trip residents of New Brunswick can take is a bus trip to New York City. New York offers a variety of outdoor attractions, including miles of paved walkways and jogging trails in Central Park, and picnicking grounds in Columbus Field Park. Buses depart two locations in New Brunswick, including downtown New Brunswick and the Park and Ride location, and deliver passengers to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in downtown New York City. Buses leave every 15 minutes daily and the trip takes about one hour.
