Italian Restaurants in Chesterfield, Missouri

Italian Restaurants in Chesterfield, Missouri
The west St. Louis County community of Chesterfield, Missouri, offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor fun. The county-run Faust Park has picnic areas, a historic mansion and the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House. Four Chesterfield city parks feature walking paths; the city also maintains a wetlands area with a boardwalk and nature trail. Many restaurants make their home in Chesterfield within easy reach of these areas. If you crave pasta, pizza or veal parmigiana, try one of Chesterfield's Italian eateries.

Caito's Sicilian Restaurant & Pizzeria

Pastas and Italian entrées are on Caito's menu, but pizza is the specialty. The BBQ chicken is a popular pie. For something different, try the spinjuine--a soft, Italian bread dough covered in a spicy meat sauce, mozzarella and provolone. The menu also offers gluten-free selections, such as rice penne pasta and pizzas with gluten-free crust. The restaurant caters special events. Caito's is open daily for lunch and dinner. It is about three miles from the trailhead of the Monarch-Chesterfield Levee Trail.

Gianfabio's Italian Café

Gianfabio's is less than a mile from Faust Park. The restaurant---in business since 1987---has a dining room, bar and outdoor seating. Gianfabio's is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday. You can order anything off the menu during business hours, but the restaurant does have a less-expensive lunch menu with sandwiches and smaller entrées. Gianfabio's signature dish is the veal and shrimp Gianfabio, which is veal topped with jumbo shrimp, artichokes and mushrooms in a sherry cream sauce. The restaurant has banquet options for parties.

Villa Farotto

There's more than one way to enjoy Villa Farotto. The Vineyards is Villa Farotto's upscale dining room, open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday, and only for dinner on Saturday and Sunday. The menu includes pizzas, pastas, risottos, fresh seafood and steaks. The Rolls Royce porterhouse tops the steak entrées on the dinner menu; it's a 20-oz. prime cut covered in a lobster cream sauce. If you're hungry for veal, the Villa Farotto osso buco is well known here. Terrace seating outside the Vineyards room is available. Live music plays in the bar four nights a week. Villa Farotto's café is quick and casual---fine for folks who've just been walking or bike riding. The St. Louis-style pizza is a favorite on the café menu. Before you leave, check out the wine available for purchase in the restaurant market. Villa Farotto also caters. The restaurant is less than six miles from Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park in Wildwood, Missouri. Babler State Park has 13 miles of hiking trails.
