And there's Tarpon Bay Explorers, which offers visitors guided wildlife tours, boat rentals, facilities for fishing and trails for hiking and cycling.

The Blue Dolphin Cottages

The Blue Dolphin is a family-owned operation that features nine cottages. Each includes cable television, a sun deck, fully furnished kitchen, telephone, dining room and living area. The Blue Dolphin also provides its guests with a complimentary continental breakfast, as well as free access to beach umbrellas, barbecue pits, lounge chairs and bicycles. This cottage resort has facilities ideal for receptions, weddings or reunions. The Blue Dolphin is minutes away from Pine Island Sound and San Carlos Bay. Both sites provide opportunities for boating excursions, fishing and riding WaveRunners. This cottage resort is less than 20 minutes away from Captiva Island.

Beachview Cottages

Beachview Cottages is a pet-friendly resort that maintains its own private beach and provides its guests with amenities such as a heated outdoor swimming pool, fish-cleaning area, rental shop for beach chairs, laundromat and daily housekeeping services. Each cottage at Beachview has a full-kitchen, living area, dining room, satellite television and sleeper sofas. On Beachview's private beach, there are opportunities for swimming, fishing and searching for seashells. Bicycle rentals are available at the nearby shop, Billy's Rentals. Avid fishers can visit The Castaways Marina, on the northern tip of Sanibel Island. This marina offers visitors boat tours that take you to the best fishing holes in the area.
