Dolphin Docks & Fish Tales Charter offers everything from bay to deep-sea fishing, twilight dolphin watches and marine ecology tours. "Texas Hospitality," the company's main boat, is 9 -feet long and takes guests out for half-day or full-day excursions. Hop aboard for a deep-sea trip and a chance to catch snapper, grouper, amberjack and dorado. If you head to the bay instead, you might catch flounder, kingfish, whiting or even shark.

Horseback Riding
Situated on the north end of the island, riders of all ages will enjoy cantering on the beach and across the dunes. Guides accompany groups, but riders do not ride single file as they would on a trail ride. Trips range from 60 to 90 minutes, with some scheduled so that riders can enjoy the sunset. Children ages 6-13 must wear riding helmets, which are provided at no extra charge.

Kiteboarding
Thrill-seekers can try this extreme sport by visiting either of two locations of this rental shop where you will find everything you need to catch some air. Kiteboarding or kitesurfing allows a rider to be pulled by the wind through water on a small surfboard or kiteboard, with our without bindings. A large, controllable kite serves as a sail. One-on-one lessons in calm, shallow waters are available for those new to the sport.
