Mexico Beach rests on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, on northwest Florida's Panhandle area. It is approximately 40 minutes east of Panama City. This location makes Mexico Beach close enough for modern comforts, but far away enough to be a peaceful destination. The Driftwood provides its guests with access to its private beach, and has barbecue pits, a gift shop and a quaint chapel that is suited for weddings. In-room amenities include cable TV and free local calls; Driftwood also provides cottages with private decks, as well as Victorian-style houses with full kitchens, dining rooms and living areas. Driftwood Inn is near Daly Dock's Dive Shop and Seahorse Water Safaris. Both shops sell and rent diving equipment, including snorkel gear for exploring nearby St. Joseph's Bay. Ideally situated on U.S. Highway 98, the El Governor Motel provides its guests with over 120 guestrooms that overlook the sea.
