Zion Crossroads is a community in northeastern Virginia. Golfers of all skill sets converge on the community's Spring Creek Golf Club. Visitors can also take advantage of hiking trails, swimming, camping and fishing at Lake Anna State Park. At the end of an adventurous day, outdoor enthusiasts can find several places to stay in the surrounding area of Zion Crossroads.

Inn on Poplar Hill

Nestled within the confines of a Victorian house built in the 1890s, the Inn on Poplar Hill is sure to charm history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts. Once the home of the granddaughter of Thomas Jefferson, the inn offers six recently renovated rooms, each with a private bathroom. Period antiques and handcrafted quilts adorn the rooms, and amenities include Jacuzzi spas, cable television, radios with iPod docking stations, air conditioning, coffeemakers and a DVD selection. Pets and children are welcome, and no smoking is permitted within the house. A full country breakfast is served each morning with choice of entrées. Walking trails can be found on site and the inn is about 10 miles from Lake Anna State Park.

Shenandoah Crossing

Most guests at Shenandoah Crossing in Gordonsville, Virginia, will be drawn to the plethora of nearby outdoor activities. A 60-acre lake on the property offers swimming, fishing and boating opportunities. There are five hiking trails on site, each one carrying a different theme, such as colonial trivia and ghost tours. Though Spring Creek Golf Club is only ten miles away, Keswick Hall offers its own golf option with an 18-hole course designed by Arnold Palmer. There are three restaurants on site and two bars. Room amenities include high-speed Internet access, air conditioning, flat-screen televisions with DVD players, work desks and safes. Guests are welcome to the collection of movies from reception's DVD collection and books at the motel library.
