All Inclusive Family Vacations in the Caribbean

All Inclusive Family Vacations in the Caribbean
It can be difficult for a family to choose the perfect vacation spot. Active families require a lot of different needs, such as sports, games, dining options, a combination of water and land activities, as well as some romantic time for mom and dad. The Caribbean hosts a number of excellent all inclusive resorts that specialize in family holidays. The natural beauty of this region is perfect for families that enjoy hiking, swimming, sailing, scuba diving or snorkeling in the lush beauty of rain forests and turquoise blue waters. Discuss the options together to decide which resort appeals to the majority of the family. Here are just a few of the many Caribbean family resorts that cater to your every whim.

Coconut Bay St Lucia

Coconut Bay Resort in St Lucia is a great family getaway. Half of the property is devoted to kids with areas such as CocoLand which offers completely supervised activities for kids ages 3 to 14. Conceptualized by United States education professionals, toddlers participate in supervised games, arts and crafts, a pirate ship, video games, and a water playground. Preteens become members of a "survivor-like" adventure club which provides the older kids with physical and educational challenges, hikes, island exploration and plenty of water activities.

CocoLand has a lazy river, waterfalls, water slides and even a Coconut Coaster ride which twists and turns before splashing you into the plunge pool. Toddlers have a pool of their own. The resort also features three restaurants, several bars and nightly entertainment.

The island of St Lucia offers fantastic hiking, windsurfing, horseback riding, waterfalls, scuba diving, snorkeling, bird watching and even rain forest zip-lining.

Hyatt Regency Curacao

Opening in May 2010, the newest resort in Curacao will offer families traveling with children, Camp Hyatt, designed for kids ages 3 to 12. Camp Hyatt has joined forces with National Geographic Kids to feature eco-friendly activities, photo safaris, and many other activities and adventures that teach children about the history, culture and environment surrounding the island.

The resort also offers an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Pete Dye, 350 water view rooms, deluxe amenities and a luxurious spa on 27 acres. There is a 24-hour gym, three restaurants and multiple pools.

Curacao, with its Dutch history, offers vacationers hiking trails, golf, wind surfing, scuba diving, off road treks, tennis, boating, sailing, mountain bikes and even dolphin encounters.

Westin Resort Aruba

The Dutch island of Aruba is just as much fun for the adults as for kids. It offers all the beach and water activities with the addition of great shopping and casinos. The Westin Resort Aruba has a Kids Club for children 4 to 12 years old including: scavenger hunts, seashell hunting, movies, photography, arts and crafts, sandcastle building, seashell hunting as well as Play Station video games. Westin also offers a "Little Chefs" program which gives kids the chance to work in the kitchen with resort chefs to create their own custom pizzas and something special for mom and dad. The resort boasts a la carte dining options on its all-inclusive packages, and has several restaurants to choose from.
