Located in Williamson County, Georgetown, Texas is approximately 30 miles north of Austin. The city rests along the San Gabriel River, which is known for its whitewater rafting. Georgetown also has a number of parks, including San Gabriel Park, which offers swimming, canoeing and fishing. Fado Irish Pub

A small nationwide chain of restaurants, Fado Irish Pub has one location in Austin, approximately 30 miles from San Gabriel Park in Georgetown. The menu begins with several appetizers, such as the corned beef rolls with cabbage slaw and Irish smoked salmon bites with horseradish sauce and lemon. One of the entree specialties is the Trinity steak boxty--a potato pancake rolled around grilled steak and sauteed mushroom and then smothered in a whiskey garlic sauce. For dessert, diners might want to try the chocolate brownie served with Guinness ice cream pecans, chocolate sauce and whipped cream. The bar serves 13 different draft beers, 15 bottled beers and 11 varieties of Irish whiskey. The Austin Fado Irish Pub is open daily for lunch and dinner.

B.D. Riley's Irish Pub

Situated in an Austin building constructed in 1857, B.D. Riley's Irish Pub is about 30 miles from San Gabriel Park in Georgetown. To start the meal, the restaurant serves numerous appetizers, including Irish nachos, which use fries instead of tortilla chips. Traditional Irish entrees follow like the bangers and mash--three Irish sausages served over mashed potatoes with a side of steamed vegetables. The dessert menu features a variety of confections like the caramel pecan torte. The restaurant's draft beer selections change regularly, but always include Irish favorites like Guinness, Smithwick's and Harp. B.D. Riley's Irish Pub is open for lunch Wednesday through Sunday and for dinner nightly.

Mother Egan's Irish Pub

Mother Egan's Irish Pub is about a 30-mile drive from San Gabriel Park in Georgetown. Appetizer selections combine traditional pub fare like potato skins and chicken wings with more unusual fare like house-made potato chips with curry seasoning. Shepherd's pie is a popular entree at the pub and consists of ground beef, peas, carrots and onions in gravy, topped with mashed potatoes and then baked. The pie available individually or in a smaller version with a side of Irish stew. The bar menu includes more than 15 draft beers, 15 Irish whiskeys and 13 Scottish whiskeys. Mother Egan's Irish Pub is open for lunch on Saturday and Sunday and nightly for dinner.
