San Marcos RV parks provide you with the opportunity to get in some of the best trout fishing of your life in the Guadalupe River. This area is also home to the mile-long Guadalupe River Trail, where you can enjoy some very effective bird-watching while hiking. Just to the northwest of San Marcos is the very popular 61-mile-long Winberley Metric Century Classic bike trail.

Canyon Trail RV Resort offers extra-wide and extra-long RV spaces if you need them. The sites here are full hookup pull-through spaces with 50-amp electricity, water and sewer. You won't find much in the way of shady trees, but the sites are spacious. Amenities include free wireless Internet service, a playground for the kids, a fitness room and laundry facilities. This RV campground features a security gate, dinner and snack bar, picnic area and pool. On-site activities include fishing in the river, biking on a paved road trail and bird-watching. Nearby summer activities include river rafting and paddleboats, and when the snows falls, there are opportunities for snowboarding and cross-country skiing.

Pecan Park

Pecan Park is an RV campground made up of 19 acres situated along the San Marcos River. Sites offer 20/30/50 amp electrical hookup as well as water and sewer. This RV park provides free wireless Internet service and free cable TV. Every site includes space for an extra vehicle, a picnic table, fire pit and shade trees. On-site recreation includes an indoor heated pool, nine-hole Frisbee disc golf course, a playground for the kids, a beach volleyball court and nature trails. Grab your fishing gear and head to the San Marcos River to reel in black bass, catfish and perch, or just take along a tube or canoe and go exploring.

Leisure Resort RV Park

Leisure Resort RV Park is located about 10 miles to the southeast of San Marcos and provides 117 sites with water and 20/30/50 amp electric service. The average size is 65 x 25 feet, and the back-in sites provide a view of the San Marcos River. This RV camp provides picnic tables, barbecue grills and a clubhouse with a fully equipped kitchen. Recreation is highlighted by the chance to go tubing in the San Marcos River, but the site also includes a beach volleyball court, miniature golf course, nature trail, croquet lawn and a half-basketball court. Bring your pet, because there is also a pet park to let them run free for a little while. Shuttles are available to take you down to the river.
