Vernon Inn Restaurant and Pub
In business in its current incarnation as the Vernon Inn and Pub since 2003, this building has been in the hospitality industry since it was built in 1833. The menu is host to a variety of steak, chicken, seafood, and pasta dishes as well as a wide selection of sandwiches and bar fare. The Vernon Inn also features live entertainment, a special late night menu, and a full line of packaged beer and wine to go. The restaurant is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and breakfast on weekends from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Hickory Sticks Grill
A perfect place to find an enjoyable family dinner or to come with friends for drinks and the live music, the Hickory Sticks Grill caters to all crowds. Featuring a beautiful view of the neighboring ski slopes all year long, the Grill serves up everything from ribs, pasta, wings, burgers and fries to more exotic fare and specials. Take out and catering service are also available. The dining room is open from 5 to 10 p.m. from Tuesday through Saturday, and from 1 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

An inexpensive breakfast and lunch establishment, the Mixing Bowl is an institution in the Vernon area and therefore is a must-see with a great reputation. Located in an old restored home, this reliable eatery serves up solid traditional diner food. Of particular renown are the breakfast options, so be prepared for a wait on weekend mornings. Most days however, one will find them closed by 3 p.m., so diners shoould be sure to get there nice and early.
