SCUBA Diving Operations in Cozumel, Mexico

Water so clear that you can see for 30-100 feet; tropical, colorful fish floating by; giant sea fans and coral gardens filled with sea life--these are the reasons to scuba dive in Cozumel, Mexico. The Great Maya Barrier Reef, which runs from the northern part of the Yucatan peninsula all the way to Honduras, is considered the second largest reef system in the world. The island of Cozumel sits on the northern part of the reef. Many scuba diving enthusiasts rank Cozumel as one of the top five sites in the world.

Blue Angel Dive Shop

The Blue Angel Dive Shop is located at the Caribe Blu Hotel. It offers training courses for scuba for PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) certification. The boats feature a roll back entry system for easy access to enter and exit the boat. Most dives are two tanks dives, with dive schedules set for 8:30 a.m and the second dive set for 1:30 p.m., as of January 2010. Sunset and night dives are also available. The Blue Angel Dive Shop also offers hotel/dive packages.

Aqua Safari

Aqua Safari has been operating in Cozumel for over 43 years. All of its instructors are PADI certified. Aqua Safari will pick you up from your hotel or leave from the Aqua Safari shop near downtown. The two tank dive trips leave at 8:30 a.m., as of January 2010. It also offers a one-tank afternoon dive that leaves at 2:30 p.m. Night dives are available on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights.

Cabalito del Caribe

Cabalito del Caribe offers two tank dives, one tank dives leaving at 10 a.m., as of January 2010. Night dives are also available. Cabalito del Caribe has a frequent diver package to their menu of dive options. they offer a package of 20 two-two tank dives for $1,000 per person. This package offers a savings for someone who enjoys diving in Cozumel frequently. It will also design custom dive tours for individual, and groups.
