Wichita Falls is a mid-size city in the northeast corner of the Texas panhandle. The Hotter-N Hell Hundred is held in Wichita Falls each year and is one of the larger century (100-mile distance) bicycle rides in the country. The city's Lucy Park has bike trails, a duck pond, and areas to hike. RV travelers in the Wichita Falls area have several RV parks and campgrounds from which to choose .

Wichita Falls RV Park

The Wichita Falls RV Park is a small campground that offers many amenities. Hookups include 20-, 30- and 50-amp electric, water, sewer, and cable TV, and Wi-Fi Internet. There are pull-through sites which can accommodate large RVs and those with slide-outs. The park has a shower room, private toilets, swimming pool and a catch-and-release fishing pond on the grounds for guest use. Pets are allowed but must be leashed.

Wichita River Bend RV Park

The Wichita River Bend RV Park has 30- and 50- amp electric and water hookups. There are no sites that have sewer hookups, and RVs should be self-contained for toilets and showers as there are no bathroom facilities at the campground. Wichita River Bend does have a dump station on the premises for guest use. There is a swinging bridge that spans the Wichita River to Lucy Park, where guests can take advantage of the hiking trails.

Lake Arrowhead State Park

Lake Arrowhead State Park offers RV visitors several sites that come with 50- amp electric and water hookups. There are showers and toilets at the park. Picnic areas are available as well as barbeque pits for guest use. Pets are allowed but must be leashed when in the park. Guests can take advantage of the "Loan a Tackle Program," which allows them to borrow fishing gear from the park to use in the lake. The park has a dump station for guest use, and there is a guest house with kitchen for use by campers.
