The area is known for its pecan industry and has opportunities for fishing, boating and river tubing. RV travelers in the Bend area have several campground options. Colorado Bend State Park is nearby and offers hiking, biking and camping opportunities.

Texas Hills RV Haven

Texas Hills RV Haven is a full-service campground only minutes from Bend and near Colorado Bend State Park. Sites can accommodate most sizes of RVs and those with slide-outs. Hookups include water, sewer and 20-, 30- or 50- amp electric. Pets are allowed but need to be leashed. There is swimming in Lake Buchanan. Hot showers, private toilets, picnic and barbeque pits are all on the grounds. Hiking can be found at the state park.

Boone RV Park

The Boone RV Park is a few minutes from Bend and offers campgrounds an array of amenities and services. Hookups include water, sewer, and 50- amp electric. Pull-through sites are available for larger RVs. Wi-Fi is available throughout the park. A laundry room, guest room, shower and bathroom and group area are all on the grounds. Pets are allowed if leashed. Fishing and swimming are on the campgrounds. Good Sam discounts are offered.

Beachcomber Park

The Beachcomber Park has a small RV campground. There are both back-in and pull-through sites on the grounds, and hookups include water, sewer and 50-amp electric. There is a laundry room, shower facility and private toilets for guest use. Pets are allowed if leashed. The Beachcomber also has two boat launches for guests. Swimming, and fishing are all found at Lake Buchanan.
