Located near Amarillo, the Palo Duro Canyon is considered "The Grand Canyon of Texas." The canyon, 120 miles long and 20 miles wide in some areas, can be accessed through a state-managed park where you will find 29,000 acres of scenic land. The canyon has numerous hiking trails and a scenic driving loop. It was originally occupied by nomadic and various Native American tribes.

Palo Duro RV Park

This site has 85 large sites with hookups for water, sewer and 30 and 50 amps. It has laundry facilities, showers, wireless Internet and a banquet room. The park is located within a short drive of Palo Dura Canyon State Park and the Panhandle Plains History Museum. It is also close to shopping and dining in Canyon and Amarillo.

Palo Duro Canyon State Park

One of the best ways to experience the state park is by staying in the canyon. There are RV sites located off the Mesquite and Sagebrush camp loops. Shade is limited, but each site has a picnic table, fire-ring, water and 50 amp service. The Hackberry camp loop has additional sites with 30-amp service. In the park, you will find a restaurant and gift shop with basic necessities.

Oasis RV Resort

Located in Amarillo, this RV resort is a short drive from Palo Duro Canyon. The park has numerous amenities and services including a full repair shop, RV wash, large level sites, wireless Internet, laundry services, horse facilities and a concession center. It also has a pool, exercise room and clubhouse. The sites have hookups for cable, water, sewer and 20, 30 and 50 amps. The park is near the city conveniences of Amarillo and the outdoor experience of the canyon.
