Bay Prairie Outfitters and Lodge
Bay Prairie Outfitters and Lodge is the only lodge located directly in Midfield, Texas. They are a full-service facility equipped with one- and two-bedroom guest suites and four-person cabins. Each room comes with cable television, a telephone and private bath. In addition, the cabins come furnished with card tables. The facility also provides on-site kennels.
The lodge is known for its morning goose, duck and sandhill crane hunting packages that are offered from November to February. There is no fee for cleaning your catch and their staff will package and freeze your bird if you would like to have it mounted by a taxidermist.
In order to hunt, you must have a license. Non-residents may apply online for a five day special nonresident license along with a Texas state duck stamp and a federal duck stamp. If you are interested in hunting the cranes, you will need to request a special free permit.

Blessing Hotel
Blessing Hotel proudly boasts itself as a historic hotel and dining experience. The property has the distinction of being the first business to be noted in the National Register of Historic places for Matagorda County.
The hotel's design was inspired by Spanish mission churches and is a wood-siding construction. There are 25 rooms equipped with semi-private or shared hall bathrooms and guests may enjoy meals in the on-site coffee shop.

The Best Western Matagorda Hotel & Conference Center is a pet-friendly hotel located approximately a half hour from Midfield. The hotel has 120 guest rooms that come with cable television and free high-speed Internet access.
