Victoria is the capital of British Columbia, Canada. It is a popular tourist destination not just because of its attractions but also because of its mild weather, which is said to be the mildest in Canada. According to victoria.ca, it is also a resort city because everything is within walking distance. Victoria is on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, the biggest island in British Columbia. When you visit Victoria, be prepared for some of the most scenic views in the country.

Milner Gardens and Woodlands

Milner Gardens is a seaside garden in Qualicum Beach. It consists of more than 70 acres of natural wilderness atop a cliff on the Georgia Strait. Ten acres of the land is a garden with flowers such as rhododendron, cyclamen and trilliums. An English tea service is offered. Milner Gardens can also be used for special occasions such as weddings.

Springtide Victoria Whale Tours

Victoria affords many opportunities to see orcas, gray and humpback whales, porpoises, seals and sea lions when they are in season. Bald eagles are also a common sight. Beacon Hill Park

According to friendsofbeaconhillpark.ca, the park is a historical treasure and one of the last refuges in greater Victoria for endangered native plants and ecosystems. A society was formed in 1989 to preserve the southeast area that was about to be cleared. See the Canada goose, mallard, surf scoter and ring-necked duck. The bleeding heart, chocolate lily and common camas are some of the wildflowers at the park.
