Log Cabins in Pine Lake, New Mexico

Located near the border of New Mexico and Colorado on the Pine River is Navajo Lake State Park, a 35 mile-long reservoir and recreation area. As a popular vacation spot, it offers many outdoor activities, including swimming, fishing, kayaking and canoeing. There are several marinas along Navajo Lake, including the full service Navajo Lake Marina, where visitors can rent boats or store their water crafts. Its cabins range from standard two bedrooms with either king or queen beds, to premiere cabins with vaulted ceilings and Jacuzzi tubs. While none of the cabins include kitchens, the ranch has a full service restaurant and bar that happily accommodates special dietary needs. Some of the activities offered include horsemanship classes, wilderness pack trips and cattle drives, as well as detailed hiking excursions into the Piedra and Weminuche Wilderness Areas.

Blue Lake Ranch

Just across the Colorado state line is the extensive Blue Lake Ranch, which offers several log cabins. The Cabin on the Lake is the most traditional on the property. Overlooking Blue Lake, it has three bedrooms and accommodates up to eight guests. The cabin comes furnished and with a fully equipped kitchen. The Ranch also offers Southwest style cabins, such as the Casa del Sol and the Spring House, both which have exposed log beam ceilings and offer the same amenities as the Cabin on the Lake. Blue Lake Ranch is close to both Mesa Verde National Park and Ute Mountain Tribal Park and offers multiple suggestions on outdoor adventures in the area.
