Scuba-Diving Clubs in Dallas

Scuba diving is a fun and exciting way to explore the wonder and beauty under the water. It is considered an adventure sport because you don't directly breathe oxygen for longer than your lungs will normally allow. A regulator connected to an air tank lets you stay underwater for long periods. Even with these special breathing aids, scuba diving has some risks and should not be attempted without proper instruction. There are several scuba diving clubs in Dallas to help those who love to dive or are interested in learning the sport.

Texins Dive Club

Texins Dive Club, started in 1958, is the oldest scuba-diving club in Texas. They offer blue water dive trips, weekend dive trips, training, and the opportunity to socialize with others interested in the sport of scuba diving. Training is for all levels, from beginner to professional dive master. Texins also offers dive certification and maintains a full-service equipment room for members to rent regulators, tanks, weight belts, and other dive equipment. Dive trips can be local, to other states and to other countries. Regular club meetings are open to everyone.

Scubadillo Dive Club

Scubadillo Dive Club, known as the "Dillos," has been diving since 1984 and is one of the largest dive clubs in North Texas. They work with other dive clubs, dive shops, and manufacturers and distributors of diving equipment in order to provide fun and safe diving experiences to members. Dive trips have been to local waters and abroad. Scubadillo promotes diving techniques and physiology, diving education, and promoting the marine environment. The club is open to everyone interested in scuba diving.

Finz Dallas Dive Group

Finz Dallas Dive Group is a group of scuba divers, whose experience level is from beginner to expert. The club focuses its dives in blue water that is deeper than 200 feet. Dive trips, which they call "dive adventures," take the group to blue oceans around the world. When not diving, club members get together for social events such as parties, happy hours, and educational workshops. They have monthly meetings with speakers from the diving industry. Meetings are open to anyone interested in diving.

Dallas Underwater Photographic Society is a club that combines a love of scuba lovers with underwater photography and videography.
