RV Parks in Fort Worth, Texas

RV Parks in Fort Worth, Texas
Fort Worth offers many opportunities for fun for the RV vacationer. The nearly four-mile Trinity River Trail places you firmly in the great outdoors while still allowing views of the city's skyline. This part of Texas is also home to the Texas Motor Speedway, Fort Worth Zoo and National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. Several well-maintained RV parks and campgrounds make this an ideal vacation spot.

Trader's Village Grand Prairie

Trader's Village is midway between Fort Worth and Dallas. In addition to the RV park there is a tremendously popular flea market that spans 100 acres. If you prefer your campground flat, then Trader's Village is the Forth Worth choice for you. Its location near Joe Pool Lake also makes this a good choice for those who want to get in some swimming and spend time fishing for largemouth bass, white crappie and channel catfish. The park hosts 212 RV-only sites that each are equipped with a picnic table and barbecue pit. Kids can enjoy the playground and the park also has a rec room, mini-mart and hair salon. Six Flags Over Texas is nearby.

MD Resort

The MD Resort Bed and Breakfast may not sound like a spot for RV vacationers, but the park offers full RV hook-up sites with water, sewer and electricity. The MD is also home to a 37-acre working ranch where you can find ample room to head out for overnight camping trips away from the vehicle. If you don't want to camp out, all that acreage is perfect for long hikes where you can simply commune with nature. RV guests are also entitled to use the pool and hot tub. If you decided you want to give up roughing it for a romantic night or two you have the option of sleeping in the B&B where rooms have amenities like a Jacuzzi tub or fireplace.

Sportsman's Park

Any RV park that calls itself Sportsman's Park had better offer some outdoor recreational activities. Sportsman's Park is not engaging in false advertising as it sits on Eagle Mountain Lake and provides plenty of opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast. The woods surrounding the lakes are great for hiking, while the lake itself invites swimmers, boaters and anglers. This gated community welcomes pets and features full hookup sites with 30/50 amp service. Hitch up your boat and take advantage of the private boat dock. Sportsman's Park offers the amenity of seclusion but is just 20 miles away from downtown Fort Worth.
