Esplanade Hotel Fremantle

This four-star 300-room hotel is located right in the center of Fremantle in a low-rise colonial building built in 1897 with two sweeping verandas. It sits across the street from a small park close to the fishing harbor and within walking distance to every cafe, shop and attraction in Fremantle. The Esplanade underwent an expansion in 2003, adding 41 rooms and a huge convention center. The hotel rooms are of a generous size and the suites are spacious with large balconies. Arundel's Boutique Accommodation

Arundel's Boutique Accommodation is a two story 1860s house built of stone and iron that has recently been refurbished. The rooms--six including spa facilities--are all spacious. A tasty continental breakfast is served in the hotel's al fresco dining area when weather permits or upstairs when the weather doesn't cooperate. Fremantle Trams run hop-on-hop-off guided tours 363 days a year if you'd like to tour the city that way. Former guests rave about the small touches at Arundel, like the candles scattered throughout the room if you want a romantic touch, polished wooden floors and old fireplaces in the rooms, and the location just few steps from a cappuccino strip and Fremantle markets. Right around the corner is a typical Aussie pub called Norfolk with a good atmosphere and reasonable food.
