San Francisco offers many outdoor activities for outdoor enthusiasts throughout the year. San Francisco's diverse neighborhoods are reflected in the variety of restaurants that you'll find in the city, including those that serve Middle Eastern cuisine.

Fattoush Restaurant

Fattoush Restaurant serves authentic cuisine from various Middle Eastern countries. Items on the menu include lamb, chicken, seafood and vegetarian dishes. For lunch, you can have appetizers such as hummus and tabouli, soups and salads, Mediterranean wraps and entrees such as lamb or chicken kebab over rice and fresh fish of the day served with rice. The dinner menu is made up of appetizers, salads and entrees such as zahra (lamb shank with grilled cauliflower, onions and garlic in a light yogurt sauce), shish taouk (marinated chunks of chicken breast served with seasoned grilled vegetables and rice) and dajaj (filo dough stuffed with seasoned chicken, mushrooms, almonds, and onions accompanied by a spinach sauce). Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Catering services are offered and the Oasis Wine Bar is open for special events.

Maykadeh

Maykadeh is a Persian restaurant where you can dine in or order for take-out. The menu has appetizers, steaks and seafood. Interesting appetizers include lamb tongue with lime juice, sour cream and saffron; lamb head in cinnamon and turmeric broth; and boiled brain in lime and saffron. Entrees include lamb and chicken kebabs, rack of lamb chops, and lamb shank. Filet mignon and rib eye steak are served. For seafood, you can select from giant prawns or order the fish of the day. For dessert, you can order Persian ice cream in flavors such as rosewater and saffron and baklava or poached pears.

El Mansour

El Mansour serves Moroccan cuisine and is decorated with fabrics and textiles from different parts of Morocco. Specialties are served with couscous and vegetables and include harira soup (spicy lentil bean soup), Salade Mohammed V (combination of tomatoes, eggplant, carrots and cucumbers), Bastela du Chef (pastry filled with chicken, almonds, and assortment of spices), and fish tagine, chicken, lamb and rabbit kebabs. Entrees include chicken and lamb dishes and are served with soup, salad, Bastela du Chef, King Hassan (banana fritter), keneffa (sweet bastela with cream and almonds), and The a la Menthe (mint tea). Belly dancing is performed at El Mansour.
