East Hampton, Connecticut, is surrounded by state parks and forests, which makes this location an environment where outdoor activities abound. You can go fishing in Lake Pocotopaug or play golf in Portland West Golf Course or Chanticlair Golf Course. Go camping at Markham Meadows Campgrounds or Nelson's Family Campground and hike or bike on Shenipsit Trail or at Salmon River State Forest. Angelico's Lake House Restaurant

Angelico's Lake House Restaurant serves lunch, dinner and brunch. Appetizers, soups and salads, wraps and club sandwiches, paninis, burgers, pasta, seafood and poultry dishes, and pizzas are served for lunch and dinner. A few items that you can order are coconut shrimp for appetizers, New England clam chowder, Angelico's house salad, lobster manicotti, mesquite-rubbed pork chop, and Buffalo chicken pizza. A bar menu also is available. You can dine in or order take-out food. Angelico's is available for banquets; catering services are offered.

Loco Perro

The Mexican restaurant, Loco Perro, serves appetizers, steaks, ribs, combination platters, house favorites, enchiladas, and pasta. You can choose from a taco and burrito combination, burrito and enchilada combination, taco and stuffed jalapeno combination, and a loco platter for two people, which has a chicken or beef burrito, a chicken taco, a beef taco, a flauta (fried tortilla with filling), small chicken quesadilla, three stuffed jalapenos, beans, rice, sour cream, and guacamole. Favorites are chicken, steak or shrimp fajitas, burritos, chicken mole (chicken breast smothered in dark, spicy sauce served on rice) and taco salad. A children's menu is available and a banquet room for up to 45 people may be reserved. Loco Perro is closed on Mondays.

Rossini's is a family-owned restaurant that has been in business for more than 30 years. Rossini's extensive menu consists of salads, appetizers, pasta, baked Italian specialties, platters, grinders, calzones, stuffed bread, pizza, and chicken, seafood and veal entrees. Some baked Italian specialties are baked ziti, meatball, sausage or eggplant parmigiana, spinach manicotti, spinach and sausage cannelloni, and shrimp ravioli. You can dine in or order take-out.
