Nestled in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, Batesville, Ark., is located in the north central part of Arkansas on the banks of the White RIver. Although the population is only 9,445, the town is still quite famous as the home of NASCAR driver Mark Martin. In fact, tourists come here every year to Mark Martin Days, held at the Mark Martin Museum, which features several of NASCAR drivers' past cars as well as their photos, helmets and fire suits. Visitors to Batesville can choose from several hotels, or those seeking a more rustic cabin experience can stay just a few miles away in the nearby town of Mountain View.

PInewood Cabins are located in the heart of the Ozark Mountains in the town of Mountain View, just a short 30-minute drive from Batesville. Holiday Mountain Resort is located in Mountain View, just a short drive from Batesville. Offering a choice of lodging options, guests can select tent sites, RV hookups and two-bedroom cabins and chalets, all featuring fully equipped kitchens and central heat and air. The facility also provides DSL Internet and an outdoor swimming pool. Nearby attractions include Blanchard Springs Caverns, the Ozark Mountain Folk Center and the Mark Martin Museum.

Sylamore Creek Cabin

Sylamore Creek Camp offers visitors a selection of RV sites, tent sites and cabins, all named after an animal species that lives in the area. The wren, kingfisher and mink cabins feature fully equipped kitchens while the heron and bluebird cabins provide a small refrigerator and microwave. Each cabin has central heat and air, queen-size beds, barbecue grills and picnic tables. Pets are also welcome, if they are house-broken. The facility also provides a sports field and open air pavilion.
