Sawtooth Cabins and Motel is a family-owned lodging establishment in Grand Marais, Minn. Named after the nearby Sawtooth Mountains, this establishment is an affordable and hospitable option for those looking to take advantage of outdoor activities and everything the area north shore of Lake Superior has to offer.

The Sawtooth Cabins and Motel are located in the heart of the city of Grand Marais, giving you the best of both worlds. Staying here puts you within walking distance of Grand Marais' restaurants, shopping and art galleries---and a short drive to the Grand Marais recreational park and lake harbor. At Sawtooth, the owners dry sheets and towels naturally outdoors for a fresh scent.

Sawtooth Cabins and Motel is comprised of seven cabins with a variety of designs. In the motel. you can choose between a double bed at $55 for two people, or a queen bed for $50, as of January 2010. All cabins include full kitchens and living rooms with TV. Cabin prices range from $60 for a one-bedroom and $90 for a two-bedroom log cabin. Other options include a brick fireplace or full bathroom with a tub. All prices quoted are for two people. For every additional person, there's an $8 charge. Sawtooth also offers a 10% discount for stays of five days or more.

The cabins and motel stay open during the summer months only---from Memorial Day to the end of October, making the lodgings ideal for hiking the North Shore of Lake Superior or the area's 400 miles of designated trails. One can view ospreys and bald eagles, possibly see a rare grey wolf, or head to the Grand Marais harbor for boating and windsurfing.
