Fishing in the Missouri River or taking a canoe ride along the waterway are just a couple of reasons outdoor enthusiasts come to Lynch, Nebraska. Three golf courses can be found within a 30-minute radius, and hikers enjoy Old Baldy on the Lewis and Clark Trail. After a day of adventuring in Lynch, visitors can stay in nearby towns.

The Argo Hotel

With architecture and amenities that resemble an old saloon, the Argo Hotel offers motel rooms and a full-service steakhouse on the same property. Guest rooms include free wireless Internet access and cable television.

Hot air balloon rides take off from the motel's property in the spring and fall. The motel also allows guests to borrow a picnic basket for a day. The Argo is located close to Lewis and Clark Lake, with plenty of fishing and boating opportunities. Though Crofton is 50 miles east of Lynch, the Argo remains one of the closest motels in the Lynch area. Motorists can also stop at Niobrara State Park, a halfway point between the two towns.

Skyline Motel

Built in 1962, the 10-room Skyline Motel was recently redecorated. Rooms offer cable television, coffee makers, direct dial phones, air conditioning and daily maid service. Ample parking is available, and all rooms are on the first floor. The motel features many bird feeders and fountains on the grounds.

Skyline Motel is about a 20-minute drive east of Lynch. On-site attractions include a gazebo and bookstore/gift shop. In the area, visitors can find the Calamus and Butte Golf Courses, as well as the Calamus Reservoir State Recreation Area.

Holiday Inn Express

Steps away from the scenic Cowboy Trail in O'Neill is the Holiday Inn Express. The motel has a fitness center, an indoor pool and a whirlpool. Rooms amenities include a coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, iron and ironing board, wireless Internet and cable TV. Guests staying for an extended time can ask for rooms with a kitchenette, and there is a coin laundry in the building.

Complimentary breakfast is offered in the lobby, and there is a full-service restaurant, the Blarney Stone, 5 blocks up the street. The hotel is about an hour's drive from Lynch.

Super 8 O'Neill

Offering free high-speed Internet access and a complimentary continental breakfast, the Super 8 also has a gym/exercise facility, a whirlpool and ample parking for trucks and RVs. A kitchenette can be found in the lobby area.

Rooms are nonsmoking and include cable TV and free local calls. Several restaurants, including Subway and Pizza Hut, are a short drive from the motel. The Lions Kiddie Park is a few blocks away, while Schaffer Park is a mile up the road on Hwy. 281.
