The Days Inn Wheelersburg is about 15 miles from Lucasville. In-room amenities include a television, microwave and refrigerator. There is also an outdoor swimming pool. The hotel is three miles from Dean State Park. While the trails are not as long as those at Shawnee State Forest, Dean State Park is still worth a visit, as the thickly forested hills are some of the most beautiful in the region.

Travelers seeking luxurious accommodations may want to look elsewhere, as the Days Inn Wheelersburg has definitely seen better days. However, if you don't plan on spending much time in your room, you can't beat it for the price.

About five miles south of Lucasville, you will find the Holiday Inn Express Portsmouth, conveniently located right off US 23. To the west is Shawnee State Park with its miles of hiking trails, and to the east is Dean State Park, also a good hiking destination. Twenty minutes south is the Ohio River.
