Hotels in Wheaton, IL

Hotels in Wheaton, IL
Wheaton is a west Chicago suburb, mostly known for its upscale residential neighborhoods. There aren't any hotels in the actual town itself, but there are many places in the surrounding area where one can spend a night after exploring some of the west suburbs' many parks or DuPage County forest preserves.

Holiday Inn

There is technically only one hotel in Wheaton, and it is a Holiday Inn in the Rice Lake Square Shopping Center. It is only a walk away from the Danada County forest preserve, but what's even better is that it's not even a couple miles away from the beautiful Morton Arboretum. There is another Holiday Inn on the opposite end of Wheaton (north), technically in the town of Carol Stream. This branch is just two miles east of the Timber Ridge Forest Preserve.

Country Inn

One of Wheaton's large neighbors, Naperville, has multiple hotels. One of the finest facilities at affordable prices is the Country Inn. This hotel is just off a highway exit (88), and is two miles east of the McDowell Grove forest preserve. 88 will take visitors directly to Morton Arboretum, directly east of the Country Inn.

Crowne Plaza

Just off highway 355 at the southeast corner of Glen Ellyn (east neighbor of Wheaton) is the Crowne Plaza hotel of Lombard. Taking 355 south a few miles will take travelers directly into the Morton Arboretum. There are many small parks around the general area as well though, including Surrey Park, Four Seasons Park and Sunset Knoll Park. This hotel is a bit pricey, but it's worth it for the exquisite quality of the service, cleanliness, rooms and eco-conscious design.
