The colonial town of Jamestown, Virginia, does not have a single hotel within the city limits. About 10 miles from Jamestown is the city of Williamsburg, which has many hotels. Near both cities is the Williamsburg-Jamestown Airport, College of William and Mary, Golden Horseshoe Golf Course and Kingsmill River Golf Course. Although the surrounding area of Williamsburg is developed, much of the land in the Jamestown area is undeveloped public land, including Forest Hill Park, Nelson Park, and Chippokes Plantation State Park.
