Asticou Inn

Located at the foot of Eliot Mountain, the Asticou Inn sits away from the hustle and bustle that dominates the Village of Northeast Harbor, especially in the summer vacation season. Asticou Inn joins the nearby Cranberry Lodge, Blue Spruce, Bird Bank and Topsider Cottages to form an exclusive resort area that hosts a heated swimming pool, clay tennis courts, on-site bike rentals, a dining room with year-round breakfast and dinner service, free wireless Internet access throughout the properties and free shuttle service.

The resort has a total of 48 rooms and suites with ocean and/or country views and a choice of king-, queen- or twin-sized beds. It has balconies, non-working fireplaces, decks and screened porches, depending on the room or suite selected. The property website has individual floor plans and room/suite descriptions.

Asticou Inn is within walking distance of Asticou Azalea Garden. It is at the beginning of the Asticou Hill Trail that leads directly into Acadia National Park. Lower Hadlock Pond is an 18-minute walk north up Sound Drive. The peak of Cadillac Mountain is a five-mile hike away that takes you along Seal Harbor and past Jordan Pond and Eagle Lake.

Kimball Terrace Inn

Just a few blocks away from the Sea Princess boat tours docking station, the family-owned-and-operated Kimball Terrace Inn is located right at the head of the Northeast Harbor Yacht Marina. The inn has a large outdoor pool, a gift shop, a lounge area with a guest computer and a color television that has a VCR and video gaming system attached, a 24-hour lobby and the Main Sail Restaurant. It also has a tennis court and canoe and kayak rentals nearby.

Kimball Terrace Inn has 70 commodious rooms, each with two double beds, wireless Internet access, air-conditioning, an iron with an ironing board, a color television, a hairdryer and a private bath with a tub/shower. Most of the rooms have either patios or balconies that provide a view of the marina. The rest have wooded views.

Jordan Pond, in the heart of Acadia National Park, is a 17-minute drive away along Peabody Drive.

Maison Suisse Inn & Peregrine Lodge

Maison Suisse Inn & Peregrine Lodge is a Swiss bed-and-breakfast that has a sitting garden, fireplace common rooms, free wireless Internet access and a choice between a complimentary continental or a hearty breakfast.
