Taste of New Orleans Cafe
Taste of New Orleans Cafe is a brightly decorated restaurant that was opened in Pittsburgh by a native New Orleans family shortly after they evacuated because of Hurricane Katrina. The small cafe is decorated in festive colors as well as mementos from the city before and after the hurricane. The menu is filled with Cajun and soul food standards, including jambalaya, gumbo and dirty rice. Diners need to make sure they watch out for the hot Cajun seasoning on two of the house specials--Joe Wright's Pork Chops and New Orleans style Chicken Wings.
