Athenian Garden
The Athenian Garden Restaurant sits inside a converted home in Galloway, just 6 miles from Abescon. The former home makes for a cozy environment, as it is decorated with mementos and Greek decor from the restaurant family's owners. The menu is full of authentic Greek cuisine, which goes beyond gyros and lamb. The Athenian Garden offers stifado, rabbit stew and the appetizer melitzanosalata, which is a dip made up of eggplant. Another specialty on the menu is ravlaki, a filet of bass, served with golden raisins and garlic mashed potatoes.
