Wayne is a township in New Jersey and is located only a few miles from downtown Manhattan. Outdoor enthusiasts will love boating or kayaking on the Passaic River. High Mountain Park Preserve, a 1,071-acre nature preserve, is known for its miles of hiking trails and hundreds of species of birds and plants. Visit Kilroy Park with its beach and swimming park, or Laurelwood Arboretum with its woodland trails and ponds. Wayne Township is also home to many excellent restaurants.

Although a chain restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory is popular with diners all over America, and the branch in Wayne is no exception. With an enormous menu offering more than 200 items, you'll have a choice of salads, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, seafood and fish, chicken dishes, steak and chops, and even vegetarian options. The restaurant can also make special dishes if you have an allergy or dietary concern--just ask. Be warned though, The Cheesecake Factory is renowned for its huge portions, so make sure you've spent a day hiking, biking or boating before you eat the whole plate here.
