Jacob Wirth Restaurant

The Jacob Wirth Restaurant is located in the theater district of Boston, offering German specialties along with favorite American foods. It first opened in 1868 and was known for its mahogany tables and long mahogany bar. Jacob Wirth's is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, with daily lunch specials. Featured appetizers include potato pancakes, bucket of soft pretzels and fried pickles. It offers soups, salads, signature sandwiches such as the "custom" Reuben, plus signature burgers. The restaurant also features a variety of wursts and its own classics, such as wiener schnitzel and jaegerschnitzel. Classic menu items are the quickest to be served for those who are in a hurry. Featured dinner entrees are buffalo chicken macaroni and cheese and vegetable ravioli duo. Jacob Wirth's offers a children's menu and a variety of desserts such as pumpkin spice creme brulee and Jake's root beer or cream soda float. The restaurant offers a wide selection of imported and domestic beer, wines and dessert beer.

Terramia Ristorante

Terramia Ristorante is located in the North End of Boston and features classic Italian dishes in an intimate atmosphere. Open for dinner seven days a week, it offers appetizers such as Maine lobster fritters, pan-seared scallops and slow-cooked duck leg. Entrees include authentic Italian choices of pasta and rice, and meat dishes such as lamb, veal, filet mignon, fish and chicken. A limited selection of salads and side orders are available. Because of its small size the restaurant does not serve coffee or dessert. Terramia Ristorante was voted the North End's No. 1 Italian restaurant in the AOL cityguide for 2005, '06, '07 and '08.

Union Oyster House

The Union Oyster House has been a historic landmark for more than 250 years and first opened under its current ownership in 1970. It was previously called Atwood and Bacon Oyster House, and before that it served as a dry goods store. It was frequented by the Kennedy family, and in 1997 John F. Kennedy's favorite booth was dedicated to his memory. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, features a variety of seafood dishes, appetizers, soups, stews, chowders and salads. Sandwiches include selections such as crab cake, fried oyster roll, lobster salad roll and seafood salad wrap. Lunch entrees include a variety of fish and seafood options, chicken and sirloin. Seafood entrees may be fried, grilled, broiled or blackened. Featured desserts include hot Indian pudding, home-baked gingerbread and Boston cream pie. A children's menu is also available. The dinner menu offers many different lobster dishes; other entrees include fish, filet mignon, chicken and pork chops.
