Fazoli's Restaurant
The Fazoli's Restaurant chain was started in 1988 in Kentucky and now boasts 250 locations across the country. Its mission is to serve "fast, fresh Italian," starting with baskets full of piping hot breadsticks. The menu is fairly routine yet comforting, with old classics like spaghetti and meatballs and twice-baked lasagna. Pizzas and "submarinos" will appeal to more finicky eaters, and the dessert selection includes cheesecakes, chocolate mousse and cannolis.

Jillian's Italian Grill
Opened in July 2009, Jillian's is the brainchild of Jill and Gary Brown, Hutchinson residents who were dissatisfied with their local dining options. They longed for a homey, inventive Italian restaurant, and that's exactly what they set out to create. Jillian's is located on Main Street, in the old Blue Duck Bistro building, a charming establishment dominated by large wood ovens to fire their specialty pizzas. The pasta dishes are all favorites of Jill Brown herself, and the restaurant also offers juicy steaks and chicken dishes for those not in the mood for marinara.

Ken's Pizza
A staple of Hutchinson since 1980, Ken's Pizza still packs in the crowds after 30 years. While the focus is its famous, thin-crust pizza, the restaurant also serves lasagna and several other pasta options and is known for its extensive salad bar. The "wedgies" (bread wedges, both buttery and cinnamon varieties) are a huge hit with the locals, and save room for a fruit pizza for dessert. The dining room has ample, comfortable seating, but the restaurant can get busy during peak meal times.
