Saratoga Springs is in upstate New York, three hours from Boston, New York City and Philadelphia and just 20 minutes to the Adirondack Park to the north. A major draw to Saratoga Springs is the racetrack, founded in 1863, and the area's natural mineral springs, which have attracted summer tourists for decades. For outdoor activities, Saratoga Spa State Park is flat and offers many walking and hiking trails. Camp Saratoga Trails provides hikers with 4.7 miles of forested trails. Hadley Mountain gives hikers a 1.8-mile trail to a summit of over 2,600 feet and excellent overlooks. Saratoga Mountain Bike Association Trails include 538 acres for cyclists.
