Mentone is a small mountain town in northeastern Alabama located approximately 110 miles from Birmingham, Alabama, and 45 miles from Chattanooga, Tennessee. It offers the outdoor enthusiast many opportunities to explore nature at the Little River Canyon National Preserve, DeSoto State Park and the DeSoto Falls. Mentone hosts several Mountain Festivals throughout the year, dedicated to celebrating the different seasons.

Crystal Lake Lodge Bed & Breakfast

This bed and breakfast offers four guest rooms with fireplaces and private bathrooms. The property includes a 45-acre lake and 20 acres of woods for exploration. Shared amenities include a massive great room with library and fireplace, hot tub and billiard table. Tea is served every day at 4:00 p.m. and breakfast is made to order each morning. This is an adult-only facility.

Mentone Inn Bed & Breakfast

The Mentone Inn is located on the corner of Highway 89 and Highway 117 on the town square. The Inn was built in the 1920s and offers easy access to downtown antique shopping. Opportunities for skiing, hiking and golf are within easy driving distance. The inn features 12 rooms with fireplaces and claw-foot bathtubs in private baths. Rooms are available with single queen or full beds or two double beds. A country breakfast buffet is served each morning and free WiFi Internet service is available. This facility allows children.

Mentone Springs Hotel Bed & Breakfast

Located on the town square, the Mentone Springs Hotel is listed on the National Register of Historical Places and is the oldest hotel in the state of Alabama. Nine guest rooms have queen-sized beds, private baths and sitting rooms with fireplaces. Three standard rooms have queen-sized beds but share a bathroom. The hotel has an on-site restaurant that is open on Friday and Saturday nights for dinner and Sunday for brunch. There is easy access to downtown shopping, including antique stores and farmer's markets.

Mountain Laurel Inn Bed & Breakfast

The Mountain Laurel Inn has a main house and a separate guest house for those wanting more privacy. All rooms have private baths. Breakfast is served each morning in the main house. A path behind the guest house offers hikers an opportunity to take a scenic stroll to DeSoto Falls. The Mountain Laurel Inn is a short drive from opportunities to ski, hike and golf or shop in downtown Mentone.

Raven Haven Bed & Breakfast

The Raven Haven features four themed rooms, each with a private bath. The Nautical Room is decorated to suit sea-loving guests; the Prairie Room is decorated like a rustic cabin; the Queen Anne Room features 18th-century decor; and the Casablanca is a tropically themed room. A home-cooked breakfast is served each morning and children over 14 are welcome. This is a smoke-free facility and pets are not allowed. Raven Haven is located within driving distance of shopping in downtown Mentone and outdoor activities in DeSoto State Park.
