Philadelphia is a great city in which to walk, run or bike. If you're looking to use some muscle and burn a few calories while sightseeing, you can easily walk or peddle from downtown Old City and Society Hill to explore museums along the Parkway and wind up at 30th Street Station. Right by the Skukhill River, 30th Street Station is a central hub in Philadelphia. If you're visiting from elsewhere, it is likely that you may arrive and/or leave via 30th Street, with Amtrak, Septa, and NJ Transit running through the station, and several buses departing from nearby locations.

Slainte Pub - Grill

Located at 3000 Market Street, Slainte is an Irish American pub. The restaurant sits at the corner of 30th and Market streets and is conveniently located across the street from 30th Street Station and less than half a block from the Bolt Bus stop. If you're in the mood for something nicer than what you may find at the food court inside the station, but you're not looking for a fancy restaurant, then Slainte would be a good choice. The menu offers traditional Irish pub favorites like fish and chips and Shepherd's pie as well as less conventional items, such as Philly Cheese Steak Egg Rolls. Food is served until 1 am, there is a daily happy hourand the bar has 25 rotating beers on tap.

Bistro St. Tropez

Bistro St. Tropez is situated on the 4th floor of the Marketplace Design Center at 2400 Market St., one block east of 30th Street Station. The restaurant is arranged so that you can imagine that you are having a lovely lunch or dinner (it serves both, as well as brunch) in Provence. Patrice Rames is both the owner and chef and prides herself on fresh, simple cuisine served with pizzazz. The menu includes such French favorites as Salad Nicoise, Steak Frites, Escargots, Crepes, and Tarte Tintin.

Cosi

Casual and conveniently located inside 30th Street Station, Cosi is the perfect place for breakfast before you head out to tour the city, or dinner or a snack before you catch your train. Cosi has a coffee bar and squagels (square bagels) as well as many sandwich and salad options. The bread is freshly baked. You can also make your own 'smores right at the table.
