The Canebrake

The Canebrake resort offers a choice of Retreat rooms, Queen suites or King suites. Retreat rooms and Queen suites feature a split king bed, which can be separated into two singles. Queen suites also have a queen-size bed, while King suites have a king-size bed and a jetted tub. Each suite has its own gas fireplace, a private deck, wet bar, refrigerator and microwave. Retreat rooms have refrigerators and shared decks. The Canebrake Spa provides a variety of massages in addition to Ayurvedic treatments, energy work and body treatments, yoga classes, walking trails, a fitness arena, an organic garden and a challenge course. The Canebrake Kitchen offers on-site dining. Pool facilities are scheduled for completion in summer 2010. As of January 2010, live music is available on-site every Wednesday from 7 to 10 p.m.

Whitehorn Cove Marina and Resort

This camping resort offers cabin accommodations as well as RV sites on Fort Gibson Lake. On-site amenities at Whitehorn Cove include a floating restaurant, a marina, boat slip rentals, a beach area and guided fishing tours. Nearby attractions include Tenkiller State Park and Greenleaf State Park. If you decide to camp out, bear in mind that the high temperatures in summer average over 90 degrees, with winter lows in the 20s.

Taylor Ferry Marina & Resort

Taylor Ferry Marina and Resort, also located on Fort Gibson Lake, offers guest suites with a lake view, wet bar, microwave and double vanities. The on-site amenities include a swimming pool, grill facilities, beach access and pontoon, as well as personal watercraft and ski boat rental. Activities include beach volleyball, tennis, skiing, fishing and tubing. In addition, the surrounding area includes opportunities for golf, hiking and horseback riding, in addition to a nature center and Sequoyah State Park.

Fin and Feather Resort

This family-oriented resort lies south of Wagoner, near Gore, Oklahoma. The Fin and Feather offers a variety of cabin and house accommodations suitable for families or large travel groups. The resort features a whirlpool spa, indoor/outdoor pool, kiddie pool, duck pond with "catch and release" fishing and a sand volleyball court. There's also a tennis court, basketball court, disc golf, game room, miniature golf course, playground, picnic area, skate rental, a convenience store and a gift shop. On-site dining is available at Nannie's at the Fin, which offers a breakfast and lunch menu as well as a dinner buffet Monday through Saturday.
