Lighthouse View offers a variety of Cape Hatteras rentals, including rooms and efficiencies, one- and two-bedroom villas. Choose from six two-, three-, and four-bedroom cottages. The Shell Castle Cottage is the largest and sleeps up to 10. This cottage features two master suites with full baths and king beds, two more bedrooms, two additional full baths and a half bath, a den with a sleeper sofa, a dining room and a living room with a fireplace. Amenities include an oceanfront pool and hot tub, fish-cleaning stations, coin-operated laundry facility and children's playground. This property is only a 10-minute drive from The Hatteras Ferry to Ocracoke Island. Restaurants and convenience stores are within walking distance. Lighthouse View has a no-pet policy.

Outer Banks Motel Cottages
The Outer Banks Motel's cottages in the village of Buxton are situated just 5 feet from the beach. All of these cottages feature central heat and air, sun decks and screened front porches. Cottages also have fully-equipped kitchens. Other amenities include an outdoor pool and hot tub on the property, free use of row boats, a fish-cleaning station and wireless Internet. Outer Banks Motel also offers a larger split-level cottage that sits back farther from the ocean, as well as several beach houses. The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, a skate park, tennis courts and playground are within walking distance of these cottages. Pets are allowed only in designated units and only during certain months of the year for a $5 nightly fee.

Uncle Pooh's Cottage
Uncle Pooh's Cottage in Avon on Cape Hatteras is a comfy four-bedroom cottage just steps from the beach, restaurants and shopping. This cottage features three and half baths, fully-equipped kitchen, screened porch, a sun deck and an outdoor shower (with hot water) for rinsing off after hiking or building sandcastles on the beach. Amenities include a washer and dryer, two TVs, a stereo, a lighted fish-cleaning station and charcoal grill. Free use of a 25-meter Olympic pool, kiddie pool and tennis courts is also included. Two housebroken pets are permitted with a $75 fee per pet but must be declared when making your reservation.
