Motels Near Sunbury, Pennsylvania
The charming and historic town of Sunbury, located in the heart of the Susquehanna Valley, dates back to 1772 and was named after an English village near London. With a population of 10,000, Sunbury is quaint but surrounded by many attractions for the outdoor enthusiast traveler. This includes the vibrant Susquehanna River, a great spot for fishing and water sports. Motels can be found in the nearby towns and offer modest and relaxed accommodations for visitors.

Phillips Motel, Inc.

Family owned and on grounds of well-manicured gardens and gazebos, this charming motel represents the Susquehanna Valley of central Pennsylvania's small town charm. It is located in the city of Skamokin Dam, just two miles west of Sunbury. Guests in any season will love the fauna of the grounds with Bradford pear, cherry and crabapple trees blooming in the spring. There are thousands of perennial and annual flowers planted throughout; guests can enjoy strolling through the gardens to view the black-eyed Susans and Russian sage in summer.

With new renovations and room expansions, the quaint appeal of this motel, which opened in 1963, doesn't compromise modern taste. Each room is outfitted in Victorian décor, with no two rooms decorated exactly the same.

Guests of Phillips Motel can enjoy much nearby entertainment within the towns of Selinsgrove, Danville and New Berlin. There are shops, restaurants, antique stores and farmer's markets to provide the very best in local fare.
