Italian Restaurants in Sandy Springs, Georgia
Sandy Springs, Georgia, 15 miles north of downtown Atlanta, is the seventh largest city in the state. Incorporated in 2005, Sandy Springs has several hotels, museums and restaurants. There are outdoor attractions and activities like the Big Trees Forest Preserve nature trails, which include a wood-mulched walking trail, two creeks and a middle growth forest containing specimen white oak trees 100 and 200 years old.

Ippolito's Italian Restaurant

The first Ippolito's opened in 1988 as the idea of Toni and George Ippolito. The recipes of their grandma, mom and dad inspired this family-style Italian restaurant, with homemade garlic rolls and sauces made fresh daily from scratch. Situated on the corner of Abernathy and Roswell Road, the Sandy Springs location became a huge success after opening in 1993. Try an appetizer like the fried calamari and a lunch or dinner choice such as shrimp rigatoni or veal parmigiana. Ippolito's also offers salads, calzones, pastas and pizzas. Visit the Great Park at Morgan Falls--just a short drive from the restaurant--for a walking trail by the Chattahoochee River or the public golf course. There is also a picnic shelter and playgrounds.
