Neosho, Missouri, lives up to its reputation as the "Flower Box City"; its colorful flower boxes are hard to miss. The Neosho area also has outdoor adventure opportunities not far from local hotels. Walk the trails along Hickory Creek at Morse Park near the town square or drive less than 4 miles to Fort Crowder Conservation Area, which has 11 miles of trails for hikers and bicyclists.

Guest rooms have either two queen-size beds or one king-size bed. Amenities at the Best Western Big Spring Lodge include free high-speed Internet, free local calls (under 30 minutes) and HBO. Booneslick Lodge (Supertel Inns)

Booneslick Lodge is about 25 miles from Oklahoma's Twin Bridges State Park on the 46,500-acre Grand Lake o' the Cherokees. The hotel lobby has wood paneling, log furniture, a fireplace and other lodge-style décor. The hotel offers a free hot breakfast from 5 to 9 a.m. and popcorn in the evenings. Coffee or tea is available 24 hours a day. A Kentucky Fried Chicken is next door, and more fast-food restaurants are across the street. Rooms include king-, queen-, or full-size beds, as well as microwaves, refrigerators and HBO. There's a whirlpool suite with a king-size bed. For a nightly fee, Booneslick Lodge allows pets; they must weigh less than 40 pounds, and you can't leave them alone in the room. Booneslick Lodge has a seasonal, heated outdoor pool, as well as two indoor hot tubs.

In addition to its standard guest rooms, this Super 8 has three suites, one with a whirlpool tub. All rooms---including the suites---have either two double beds or one king-size bed. Restaurants close to the Super 8 include Burger King and Shoney's. A complimentary breakfast and free high-speed Internet are available. There are no weight restrictions for pets but there is a fee. The Super 8 Neosho is 4 miles from Morse Park and Hickory Creek walking trails.
