Within the borders of the Cherokee Indian Reservation in western North Carolina are more than 30 miles of trout-filled rivers and streams. Climb 161 steps to the top of the 200-foot Mingo Falls. Tube down the Oconaluftee River or try taming the Class II and III rapids of the Nantahala River 30 miles west of Cherokee. Drive the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway, or step outside onto its many miles of hiking and trails. No doubt about it, Cherokee is a true outdoor lover's paradise.

Located behind Harrah's Casino, Cherokee Cabin Rental's lodging is nestled in the woods, ensuring guests' privacy. Fishing for rainbow and brown trout is only steps away; Soco Creek runs through the property. The pet-friendly cabins feature hardwood floors, microwaves, linens, TV/VCRs and air conditioning. All cabins have porches overlooking mountain vistas or serene waters. A barbecue grill is provided on each porch. Cherokee Casino is within walking distance. Cherokee Cabin renters have access the casino's VIP entrance. The largest rental, the three-bedroom modular home, is closest to the casino's VIP entrance.

Ol' Smoky Log Cabins

Located at an entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Ol' Smoky Log Cabins are a few feet from the Oconaluftee River, affording front-porch views all year long. The river is stocked twice a week with brown and rainbow trout. Fishing poles share the water with rafters, tubers and swimmers. Located nearby, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park offers hiking and biking trails. The six cabins are either two- or three-bedroom homes with fully-equipped kitchens and a living room with cable TV. Linens are provided and clean towels are delivered every three days. Front porches feature rocking chairs and charcoal grills.

Panther Creek Resort

Panther Creek Resort offers several different sizes of cabins, all located creek side with mountain views. Cross over the Soco Creek to gain entrance to Panther Creek Resort, located within the Cherokee Indian Reservation. The cabins, decorated in a Native American style, include linens and full kitchens. Other amenities include a Jacuzzi, porch grill and fireplace stocked with firewood provided by the resort.
