Manta, a port city adjacent to a dry tropical forest on the Pacific coast of Ecuador, is known for commercial tuna fishing, production of vegetable oil and commercialization of straw hats. Manta has some of South America's most beautiful beaches.

Manta is world-renowned for being an excellent windsurfing venue. Surfing, scuba diving, kite boarding and water skiing are popular. Sport fishing off the coast of Manta for black and blue marlins is a major draw. Pacoche, near Manta, offers a tropical forest preserve where you can hike through an ecological sanctuary and past a lighthouse landmark, observing over 150 species of birds.

"Buena Vista" is a combination coffee house and restaurant serving International cuisine with ocean views and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. One large swimming pool, with adjacent sauna, is on the beautifully landscaped property. A fully equipped fitness room is available on-site with instructors available to help guests with windsurfing and other aquatic sports via the private access from the hotel to the beach.
