Jewel of India
Jewel of India is a small, but interesting, Indian bistro near the campus of the University of Minnesota. Jewel of India offers affordable dishes for the local college students, as well as an all-you-can-eat buffet with chicken or lamb dishes, as well as traditional curries. Some of the house specialties include: Jewel's Special Chicken, a dish with chicken breast broiled in a tandoor and cooked in tomato, onion and butter sauce. There is also an expansive menu of vegetarian dishes of chickpeas, potatoes, cheese and eggplant dishes. An intimate and cozy atmosphere makes this a neighborhood favorite.

Gandhi Mahal
Gandhi Mahal has a dark and exotic interior, decorated with Indian art and sculptures which makes the experience an interesting one. The menu at Gandhi Mahal is traditional Indian with tandoori, curry and vegetarian dishes prepared fresh to order or on the buffet. The biggest house special is a feast prepared only in the restaurant and not available for takeout. Called the Gandhi Thali, the dinner for two includes some of Gandhi's favorites: vegetable curry, Sag paneer and vegetable pakora and papadam.

OM is an upscale Indian spot that draws in a patrons to not just its Indian food, but also its bar, lounge or second-floor private dining areas. The menu has specialty drinks to cater to this bar-going crowd, but the Indian food is unique as the owners have committed to eco-friendly and sustainable ingredients. Among the unique dishes are salmon made with turmeric, coconut milk and red chiles; and Tandoori Cornish Game Hen, made in a cashew sauce.
