Italian Restaurants in Scranton, Pennsylvania

Italian Restaurants in Scranton, Pennsylvania
Scranton, Pennsylvania, has a rich Italian heritage. During the late 1800s, many Italians immigrated to Scranton, and today, almost 20 percent of the city's residents claim Italian ancestry. Each year on Labor Day weekend, Scranton hosts La Festa Italiana, a celebration of Italian food and culture. The annual event on the courthouse square is an opportunity to sample fare from some of the area's best Italian eateries. But no matter when you visit Scranton, you'll find plenty of Italian food. Outdoor enthusiasts can take a hike at Nay Aug Park or around Lackawanna State Park. During the colder months, hit the slopes of SNO Mountain.
