Considered a cultural hub of Nova Scotia, this small university town in Kings County is home to Acadia University and is a popular tourist destination because of its many cultural attractions. Originally called Mud Creek, the town was renamed to Wolfville in 1830 and is now known for its scenic attractions and outdoor activities provided by the nearby Annapolis Valley, Gaspereau Valley and Bay of Fundy. Recently, its Victorian houses have become lodging places.

Victoria's Historic Inn

Constructed in 1893, Victoria's Historic Inn has retained its elaborate architecture and heritage by infusing antique furniture in its theme-inspired rooms while adding the convenience of modern amenities. Rated five-star by Canada Select, this three-story bed and breakfast inn has 15 distinctively furnished rooms. Each room has cable TV and complimentary wireless high-speed Internet. Some rooms are also equipped with Jacuzzi tubs. The newly restored two-story Carriage House, which is attached to the inn, has been converted into lodging rooms with similar amenities. Situated on Main Street near museums and theaters, Victoria's Historic Inn is also less than 10 miles away from golf courses and parks that offer extensive hiking and biking trails. The Bay of Fundy also offers whitewater rafting and kayaking adventures.

Blomidon Inn

Awarded 2007 Innkeeper of the Year by North American Inns Magazine, this recently remodeled 19th century mansion is situated on 4 acres of Victorian gardens. Blomidon Inn has 29 rooms, all furnished with period antiques, cable TV and complimentary high-speed Internet. Some of its rooms also have Jacuzzi tubs and propane fireplaces. Aside from hosting banquets and wedding receptions, this bed and breakfast inn also has a meeting room that can seat up to 35 people. Its on-site gift shop sells local crafts, souvenirs and Christmas items year-round. For dining options, Blomidon Inn offers fine dining choices and candlelight dinners in its Victorian Library dining room. After visiting theaters and museums within the area, guests can also enjoy leisurely walks along the trails overlooking Cape Blomidon and the Bay of Fundy. For the more adventurous, the Bay of Fundy also offers mud sliding and tidal bore riding opportunities.

Tattingstone Inn

Nestled on 2 acres of gardens, this 1874 heritage property, which has been converted to a bed and breakfast, is furnished with a mix of antiques and reproduction art. Each of its rooms is decorated with contemporary furnishings and has the added convenience of a private bath, cable TV and wireless high-speed Internet access. The inn's common area also has a computer with fax and printer for guests to use. Aside from its nine well-appointed rooms, Tattingstone Inn also has a tennis court and a heated outdoor pool that guests can enjoy during summer. In winter, the nearest mountain resort, Ski Martock, is 13 miles away and offers snowboarding and cross-country skiing. Rock climbing, hiking and spelunking are also popular activities at the Bay of Fundy during summer seasons.
