Niagara Falls has miles and miles of bike trails on both sides of the river, and a bike is the easiest and best way to get around the area, see the falls and other scenery up close and even cross the border. Lake Ontario and the Niagara River are considered to have some of the best freshwater fishing places in the United States. These cottages offer more room, and more privacy, than typical hotels.

The Carriage House farm property is located on 14 acres with a decidedly country feel. Use the gas grill and picnic tables to have a nice cookout during the day, and enjoy a bonfire in the evening. Just 10 minutes away from American Falls Park, Cave of the Winds, Maid of the Mist and Fantasy Island Amusement Park, Carriage House is a very convenient place to stay in the area but secluded enough for privacy. Golf courses, wine tours and biking trails are within close proximity to the property. The border to Canada, and the casinos on the Canadian side, are mere minutes away. The nearby Niagara River is great for fishing. For nightlife, The Hard Rock Cafe is close, and a 20-minute drive to Buffalo and the Anchor Bar will reward you with Buffalo's original chicken wings. With two bedrooms and one and a half baths, the house can sleep six with the pullout sofa sleeper. It has all the comforts of home: heat, air conditioning, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and TV with cable. Rates are moderate, and charged weekly.

Romantic Waterfront Cottage

This cottage is located a little outside of the town of Niagara Falls, in a small town right on Lake Ontario called Wilson. It is situated just a couple hundred yards from the lake, within walking distance to Roosevelt Beach. It is just 12 miles to Fort Niagara and a short drive to the Niagara Wine Trial or to the tourist area of the falls. Wilson is a quaint waterside community, and the cottage is secluded enough for privacy but also close to stores and other establishments. The cottage is fully equipped, with a full kitchen, queen bed, gas fireplace and wood stove for chilly evenings. Outside, there is a deck with a barbecue grill as well as a screened porch. This cottage is perfect for two people.
