Salena's Mexican Restaurant
Famous for its steak tacos, guacamole and "Hole Mole Nachos," Salena's is a universal favorite among residents of the Rochester/Greece area. Located in the Village Gate, it seems to raise the bar on itself year after year to the delight of its customers. The service is excellent, attentive and prompt. Those who advocate a taste of tequila now and then will be delighted by the incredible selection offered here. The chips, as well as the majority of its generous menu, are made on site. To top it all off, the value is excellent and the prices are great.

Tapas One Seventy Seven
Much more of a romantic and intimate setting than most other restaurants in Rochester, Tapas is a restaurant better suited for a more personal experience. Constantly reinventing itself with a menu that changes weekly, the regular patrons of Tapas claim the food can't be beat by anyone, anywhere. Steamed chicken dumplings and hand-rolled egg rolls are a consistent favorite among all. For those who enjoy an adult beverage now and then, the martinis are arguably the best in town. To add to the festivities, Friday is home to happy hour between 5 and 7 p.m., where free food is offered. Free salsa lessons are offered every Thursday, and live Latin bands serenade the walls and the patrons of Tapas every Saturday night. While slightly more expensive than most of the competing establishments in Rochester, Tapas is certainly one of the best.

Piranha
Occasionally people find themselves in a mood to step outside the box and pursue unconventional culinary options. When those moods arise, Piranha is definitely the place to go. A Latin restaurant that, in addition to its traditional dishes, offers its own take on sushi, Piranha is praised far and wide by locals and visitors alike. Everything from its tapas and tilapia tacos to its Fijuyama Mama Roll (tempura shrimp, mango and eel sauce) and Hot Rod Roll (eel, bacon, cream cheese and avodaco topped with onion crunchies) is praiseworthy. In addition to the unconventional cuisine, it offers unconventional prices on a number of sushi rolls from 3 to 6 p.m. and all day Sunday.
