Le Central

Le Central is a moderately priced restaurant specializing in classic French cooking, particularly dishes originating from Provence. The restaurant prides itself on being a down-to-earth place, serving reliably good, but unpretentious food. The lively and colorful dining room has been open for over twenty-five years. The daily changing menu reflects the seasons and is a taste of what is fresh and available at the market. The mid-afternoon menu offers great values on many of the house specialties, and their many selections of mussels and fries. The wine list is long and impressive, with many options under $40. Le central is casual and fun. It is a great place to share a bottle of wine, or two, with that special someone.

A converted factory, Vesta, named for the goddess of hearth---is the epitome of young, elegant chic. The room spills out onto the street with its wall of floor-to-ceiling glass and is accented by touches if industrial-chic throughout.
